Music at GRC Oatley
GRC Oatley currently offers Music 1 and Music 2 for the 2015 HSC cohort. Students selecting Music 2 have the opportunity to also pick up Music Extension in their HSC year.
Students can rehearse in our large studio, or in one of the smaller practise and classroom spaces. There is a dedicated technology zone, with computers running Sibelius for composition, an electronic drum kit and a Jamhub system for rehearsal and recording.
Pianists can enjoy using our beautiful grand piano, which was purchased by the P&C in 2011, or rehearse on one of our 3 upright pianos. We also have a range of accoustic, electric-accoustic and electric guitars and bass guitars for students to use.
Music at GRC Oatley offers a range of opportunities and ensembles including Concert Band, Stage Band and Vocal ensembles. Students regularly form small ensembles, such as rock groups for performances.
